Llama Trek on the Jurassic Coast
West Dorset is a popular area of outstanding natural beauty, with its ancient Jurassic coastline and picturesque countryside. Why not discover rural Dorset in the company of llamas with a personalised guided trek or ramble?
There’s a range of routes to choose from, from challenging treks looking over the glorious coastal views of Golden Gap, to the more relaxing ramble through local lanes. Each walk can be adapted to fit your requirements with full day and half day walks, which are both rounded off with a traditional Dorset cream tea at New House Farm near Beaminster in Dorset.
The full day walk includes a delicious homemade picnic lunch. Your chosen llamas will carry this on their backs in bespoke harnesses, together with the tables and chairs. Walking with your llama is a relaxing and very special experience. Great fun for all ages, an adventure you will never forget!
There are a number of routes available. We recommend the Golden Cap route. This takes you to the highest point on the South Coast with spectacular views of the Jurassic coast and surrounding countryside. This circuit walk takes you through the beautiful Langdon Hill woodland (carpeted in bluebells in May), followed by a stiff walk through fields and up stairs to the summit.
Location: New House Farm, Mosterton, Beaminster, Dorset, DT8 3HE.
