Hattie Miles is a photo journalist with many years of press experience. Now a freelance photographer, Hattie is passionate about Bournemouth and it’s unique and fascinating history. Whether you already know Bournemouth well or you a visitor – you will a learn something new during your time with Hattie.

Although schooled on the full range of traditional cameras, Hattie now uses her trusty Canon digital SLR every day. It’s not essential to have an expensive camera to make the most of this experience – you can enjoy it just as much using the camera on your phone.   This is not a technical photography class or workshop – this is a fascinating insight into the world of the press photographer, exploring the intriguing history of Bournemouth as well as its fascinating stories and famous people including JRR Tolkein, Frankenstein author Mary Shelley as well as England’s oldest beach hut.

  • This experience takes approximately 2-3 hours including a stop for a hot drink and cake. Your tour will end at the Russell Cotes museum and art gallery where you can stay on enjoy this fascinating feature of Bournemouth’s history at your leisure.

Location:     Meet at the entrance to the Pavilion Theatre, Westover Road, Bournemouth, Dorset. The tour will end at the Russell Cotes museum which is 200 yards from the Pavilion Theatre.
